This might be the best book on this topic I have ever read. Got it from the library, going to purchase for my bookshelf.

This book has been life-changing at a moment in my life when I really needed it. It can be repetitive and it’s a quite slow and informative to the point it can get daunting enough that you have to take a break, but I do believe it’s worth it after finally finishing this book.

Some books must be read at the right time in order to be absorbed. This time was right for me, so I was moved to tears throughout. It is among a small but heartfelt collection in my library that could genuinely be described as being life-transformed.

If you are looking for a way through life's inevitable dark moments and ready to find joy, please read this.

This is Kornfields best work so far. I recommend it as an introduction to Buddhist psychology and practice. I have been interested in Eastern philosophy and religions for a long time but often found that books about this subject were to estoteric or non-descript. Kornfield gives a very solid understanding on the hows and ways of such terms like the mindfullness. He goes into detail about the vision of Buddhist mental health, healing and awakening, dealing with unhealthy emotions. He does this by outlining 26 principles of Buddhist psychology and uses real life examples on how to apply them. This was a very easy and enjoyable read, most appropriate for the novice of intermediate level of Buddhist sycophants.

Fantastic, accessible book on several aspects of Buddhism. Loved every part of this. I savored it.
