This is probably my favorite book in the series. I love Snicket's lingo and fans of this series finally get some answers! I especially love all the "well-read" business. My heart aches at the thought that the Baudelaires could have a had a safe and perfect home at V.F.D. headquarters (whose motto I love: "The world is quiet here,"). I am so glad that some big mysteries about their parents and the organization have been revealed. It feels like everything is finally starting to fall into place.
