I know I'm repeating myself but I love how the characters grow throughout the books. The storyline no longer follows a formula for the last few books and I'm all about that. You get more clues and more mysteries in this book. I can't wait to finish up the series.
*spoilers* romance between violet and quigley was super cute, wish snicket gave us more deets instead of teasing us. when olaf called sunny a dentist's nightmare lmao. overall, enjoyed this installment. lots of action and more secrets revealed at vfd's headquarters. quite sad to see everything in ashes and the destruction fire leaves behind.
4 stars. Another great installment to this series. This picks up right where book nine left off and it was such a fun and intense ride. Klaus and Violet are separated from Sunny for more than half the novel as she has been taken by Olaf and let me tell you my anxiety was through the roof! Sunny’s grown so much through the series but she’s still so young and the thought of her working like Cinderella for Olaf and his flunkies was nerve wracking. I really enjoyed the ending, especially when the kids are all united but it ends in a way that leaves me wondering what else could Snicket possibly put these poor kids through.

This tenth installment in A Series of Unfortunate Events begins in a caravan formerly occupied by three freaks, and follows the adventures of Violet and Klaus as they attempt to reunite with their sister, Sunny, who has fallen into Count Olaf's clutches. It has that same dark humour characteristic of the other books, which leaves the reader with the feeling that the books flows very well into one another.
I never really know what to say in a review about a book in the middle of a series without either becoming repetitive or giving away things that happened in earlier books, so I'm going to leave this review here, and say that I'm looking forward to picking up the next book.

Cool. I like this one! Excited spoilers, and good twists. I like the quotes about how they don’t want to fight fire with fire... if you fight monsters, you become one, and the kids make good choices disputed being in bad situations! Only a couple more to go!

I don't know what it was but, I just didn't find this book overall interesting. Sure, it was interesting. But mostly around the end.
