She's got a rattling yarn here, but it’s not particularly well written or structured.

It did take me a little bit to get drawn completely into the story -- some of the beginning was a bit pretentious (a talking painting??) -- but I enjoyed it much more than I initially thought.  The pieces of the story came together in a very satisfactory manner.

Because there are so many perspectives, it took me about 100 pages to really get engaged with this book, which is not ideal. But once it’s got going, its central mystery and explorations of art, beauty, and the frailty of man was wonderful.

The POV felt a little childish. The book read kinda like a crappy rom com or a kid’s creative writing project. I couldn’t finish it.

I loved getting a peek into the art world with this book. While it was a little tough to keep all of the characters straight, I really enjoyed getting all of the different perspectives. I wanted a little more explanation at the end, but otherwise loved the entire story.
