As someone who is interested in fashion and modeling, I really loved this book. It's a very honest read that doesn't demonize the modeling industry, but at the same time manages to showcase its flaws very tastefully. It's not flashy or tacky and it doesn't exaggerate to provide shock value. Going in I feared that this book would have a patronizing "boo fashion bad" sort of tone, but it didn't, for which I was grateful. I liked how the MC was a very honest representation of an average teen thrust into sudden spotlight. Her struggles were imo believable. Another thing I loved was that the author actually spoke to people within the fashion industry, or former models, furthermore making sure that the story is respectful.
Graphic: Fatphobia, Eating disorder, Body shaming, Sexual harassment, Sexual assault, Drug use, and Panic attacks/disorders
Moderate: Toxic friendship, Sexual content, Eating disorder, and Mental illness
Minor: Vomit and Transphobia
Fainting, mentions of prostitution
