"Sin Bin" is a delightful read that stands well on its own, yet offers nods to avid followers of the series through clever references to secondary characters. Smith, with his gruff exterior and passion for hockey, only shows his softer side for a certain red-head who's been on his mind for over two years. Emilia, equally dedicated to her career, finds her thoughts drifting back to her time with Smith before everything changed.
Their playful, sometimes risqué banter injects humor and tenderness into their clandestine affair. The thrill of their forbidden romance, coupled with the anticipation of an inevitable dramatic revelation, adds a layer of excitement. Yet, it's their deep connection and shared traits that bring a sense of warmth to their tale. Their undeniable chemistry and commitment to each other, often at their own sacrifice, make their story compelling. Despite the predictable path the narrative takes, it's a journey worth savoring.

This was a fun read. The writing was strong and the chemistry between Emilia and Smith was good. The sexual tension between them whenever they were on-page together was really high, the sex scenes were hot and well-written, and they had a really fun dynamic together.
That said - the plot didn’t really do a lot for me. I don’t know why - I’ve read books with similar tropes before. I just didn’t find the execution of the forbidden relationship trope particularly well-done, for me. I didn’t like the gap between their one night stand and the book starting - and the fact that the no-relationships rule only came in at the start of the book. It all just felt very convenient in a way that I found hard to enjoy. On a related note, I didn’t particularly care for the external plot - either his impending retirement or her career dreams.
Basically I liked the romance a lot - that was a lot of fun! But the rest of the book didn’t do a lot for me and I found myself skim reading a lot of it. The ending was pretty sweet and I liked how it worked out, but ultimately it was fine. It kept me entertained, there were a lot of positives to be found, and I would read something by this author again.
Content Notes: Sports (ice hockey), forbidden/secret relationship, age gap.
Other:10 years; she’s 28, he’s 38 , rough sex, anal sex, spanking..

Emilia has life right where she wants it, she has a job she loves, and she is favored for the director role for the Carolina Comets. But a new rule implemented by the Comets puts her on edge, absolutely no relations with players. Wouldn't be a problem, if she didn't have a two night stand with a player only two years prior before she started the job. She has avoided him for two years, what would be the problem. He is the favored player for a profile, and he will only agree to it, if she does it. Now the two are thrust back together, and have to be able to keep their hands off of each other, and not risk everything they want falling apart.
MY FAVORITE BOOK OF THE SERIES SO FAR! I love love love Emilia Anderson & Owen Smith! Instant chemistry, and these two were perfect! Emilia is a strong independent woman, she knows she want Owen, but can't have him. Owen knows his career is coming to an end, and his resistance to her is not holding on very strong. I love literally everything about this book. I loved how it ended from all angles. I loved all the cameos, I loved the flash backs, I loved watching their journey.
IT IS ALL ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!
Sin Bin's timeline starts part way through One-Timer, so you see lots of moments intersecting with Hollis & Lowell's Story. and Next is the rookie himself! Miller!!!!

I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did. The age gap was done so so we’ll and I love the way the characters complimented each other. One of my favourite from the series.
