Cute, cozy, Christmas read! The scenery was beautiful and the descriptions of the food and activities were lovely. The characters were a bit predictable and slightly annoying at times but overall I would recommend it to someone who wants a light quick holiday read.
This was a Hallmark Christmas movie but in book form. My biggest issue was this book was longer than I would have liked and it felt like two books. Nonetheless I still very much enjoyed it. And it made me smile and gave me Christmas feels
Home Sweet Christmas is another wonderful book from author, Susan Mallery. It definitely got me into the holiday spirit. It is never too early to start reading Christmas books. I could see this book playing out on the Hallmark channel. Of the two couples through I do have a favorite. It is River and Dylan. This is because I saw a bit of myself in River as being an introvert. So, they relationship moved at a slower and sweet pace. This is not to say that I did not like Camryn and Jake as a couple too. They brought more of the spicer side.
Although Susan does a great job of making not just the main characters so enjoyable but all of the other ones as well. So that they don’t feel like just add ins but people that you want to hang out with. If Wishing Tree was a real place I would want to visit and hang with everyone. Readers of Susan will love this holiday read. Home Sweet Christmas is a sweet holiday treat of a read!

Really enjoyed this read! I'll most likely revisit this one again near the holidays in the future.

Ready for a cozy Christmas read? Susan Mallery delivers exactly that with this one! There is not one, but two love stories. In a town called Wishing Tree, we meet Camryn and River. Both had hardships in their life that tainted their view on relationships. The story gets interesting when River becomes the Snow Queen for the town and has to attend events with the Snow King, Dylan. This is where sparks start to fly and their friendship begins. Camryn on the other hand suggests that her and Jake, someone she went to high school with, pair up for the season and do all things Christmas together. Between "royal" duties, rescuing a dog, and secrets being revealed, this story has all the Christmas spirit you need!

I liked the small hometown feel of this book and how it gave all the Christmas vibes. The double plot line kept you on your toes and it as easy to pick back up with the other characters.

This was a Hallmark Holiday movie style small town romance featuring two friends who each find love over the holidays. I liked the dual storylines, especially the big city girl comes home to care for her siblings and the secret lottery winner town santa. There was a bit too much miscommunication for my tastes between the couples but it was still a heartwarming story with some great unexpected scoliosis rep. Good on audio and recommended for fans of The Santa suit by Mary Kay Andrews.
While the book was a mostly enjoyable read, the motivations of the main characters were ridiculous and unbelievable. The town was super cute, but the conflicts were really unnecessary and more dramatic than they needed to be. There wasn't a lot of diversity to the characters and situations and some of the writing was just terrible. This was my first Susan Mallery and likely my last, unfortunately.

This book had the worst characters. The fights that happened with both couples were something I’d expect from the 15 year old twins, not the couples in their late 20s.
Also the narrator for the audiobook was unbearable
