The first thing I want to mention is I appreciate that this book wasn't an exact copy of the first book. It had a couple similarities, and the original Bayview Four made appearances which I was happy about. It was a page turner as well, and had a unique plot that kept me guessing. The only thing I'm concerned about is if we will get any hints or elaborations concerning that absolute bomb of a detail that was revealed on the very last page of the book, in the next book??? I am very curious about what Emma and Phoebe will choose to do and what will happen.

So I just finished this book and it's 4 am , yes I couldn't sleep before finishing it.
Well I'm not in shock I kind of suspected it at some point ,that's what happens when you read a lot of thrillers, you imagine a lot of endings hhhh. Well no spoilers .
This sequel is really good , I loved the writing, the characters , the story and details , I just loved it and enjoyed it very much .
The story takes place in the same city as "one of us is lying", with the characters coming back but just as secondary ones , the main characters if this one are Maeve (bronwyn's little sister),knox and phoebe.
It's revenge all over again hunting this place , this time it's different ,there is no blog, but a game, "truth or dare ", I feel like if I say one more thing about the story I will be ruining it .so I will stop and finish by saying that it was a good read that I recommend ,there was a point in part 1 where my heart stopped and I started shaking, because yes I'm a crazy person and I live with the characters that I feel the same pain they feel

I really enjoy McManus’ writing but each time there is something stopping me from rating it much higher. I usually guess the endings but this time I went in blind. One of us is next has moved on from the ‘4’ and is a copycat psychopath exacting revenge. But revenge goes wrong and ultimately ‘those meddling kids’ have everything to do with it. I enjoyed it but I don’t think I would read it again.

this book is the definition of a perfect sequel it continues the story of the original characters without undoing the first book and bringing in life to the new characters i giggled and even though this was a reread it shocked me all over again so excited to read the third book!!!

Feeling kinda dumb because I started to read this mixing it up with another book. I was a little confused and while sifting through my TBR for my book challenges, I realized that I hadn't read the first book. With that being said, you don't really NEED the 1st book to understand the 2nd book. It made me enjoy this book even more than I already was. I think without that little bit this book would have been a 4 star read instead of a 5 star read.
