It took a little bit to get into the language from this book, but I got used to it quite fast. I've seen the movie before, and that helped with imagining what is going on, since this book has some scenes that are hard to understand if you don't have a good picture in your head to put with it. A lot of modern subjects are passing by in this book. Instead of rotting away in prison trying to fit people into society again, with all the consequences that arise. Very interesting book.

I was going to rate this a 2-2.5. The slang was extremely annoying, and it took me a while to get used to it. Also, i didn't like the characters at all, i really didn't see the point of writing such a story.
But as soon as Alex got enrolled into that new treatment experiment it actually became interesting. It made me wonder what is going to happen next and if I'd be able to feel any sort of sympathy for the protagonist.
The end was unexpected and in some way, i think Alex's story is an exacerbated version of the typical teenage rebellion.

the slang gave me a headache and it wasn't really interesting at all. this guy just likes violence. then he commits more violence. and then he goes and gets reprogrammed but instead of changing his ways he just gets sick after thinking about committing violence. and then he gets beat up by the same people and then finally goes back to committing violence after being un-reprogrammed. idk lol
