I know the MSM is currently trying to convince everyone that Elon is the devil, but wow, what an interesting dude! Highly recommend this one.

Fascinating but was written too soon as the saga is still very much unfolding and evolving.

Please give me some credit!! Of the 688 pages, I did read the physical book for 400 of them. After that, I was so tired of it I switched to audio.

THAT BEING SAID - this book was a fantastic portrayal of the good and bad about Elon Musk. I went into this book wanting to have backups for my many arguments against him. Although I left with that, I also left with a deeper understanding of how trauma fueled the rest of his life. Also, you have no choice but to be impressed what he has accomplished - for me, most notably, with Starlink in Ukraine.

This book was also beautifully written, it needed to be 700 pages long because Elon has simply done that much.

Walter Isaacson needs to make a sequel to this book ... ASAP!

1 Star: Structure
Isaacson remains objective regarding his subject matter. This one didn't admittedly shift my deeper thoughts on Musk one way or the other. But I think that's the goal a good biopic, to lend perspective without bias. It does offer insights on how Musk's political posture changed and why he operates the way he does. Isaacson doesn't pull punches, but his narrative is surprisingly balanced. Shifting timeliness between Musks interpersonal sagas and enterprises is a bit jarring though. With the amount of ground this book covers, I don't know if I'd have done it any differently.
