I’ve never been a fan of reading, just something about sitting in front of a page never appealed to me, never gripped me. Then I found this book, I. was. hooked.
While this book is what sprouted my love for reading, looking back at it, there wasn’t much of a plot.
I’ve read other books since Empire of Lust which had a way more gripping story line. However if you’re beginning reading smut or only just developing a love for reading and think you’re interested in this sort of content I’d 100% recommend this as your first book.
It was easy to read, gave me an understanding of different genres and opened up a whole load of doors to the sorts of things I could read next.

There was nothing bad about this book whatsoever, but I think there is definitely better out there.

Well, that was.

Hm.

Something. A whole disaster.

Did I enjoy this book? No, I did not. Am I going to read the next one when I have more hoopla borrows? Yes, I will.

  • I got an early copy of this book for being apart of author’s patron.*

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/6.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5.

I really enjoyed this one. Can’t say I wasn’t expecting some things to happen but I still had a great time.
I loved Callum. He is exactly what I was expecting him to be. Well almost 😂. I thought he would be meaner and cruel but he isn’t and I’m happy that he is like he is.
He can be over the top for some but in his world I don’t think he was being exaggerated ( for the most part) which leads me to Bianca.
I also love Bianca but she makes some understandable decision but also dumb ones because we all know where she is gonna end up but I appreciate the effort of trying. I can understand how she felt when whatever things Callum did went too far but she knew what she was getting into. He actually sort of spelled it out for her but she still came back for more. I guess I wish she wouldn’t take so much issue with how he controls things. I would’ve appreciated more if she sat him down and had a chat with and set her foot down and told him it’s either a compromise, my way or we’re done. Not sure how Callum would take that 😅 but I wanted something.
With that said he went too far in one thing but that wasn’t even discovered yet but I have a feeling that either things took its natural course and what he did either way won’t matter or that what he did it’s gonna be another point of discussion for the next book.
Sexy times were great as always. Callum has a dirty mouth on him and I love a man who know what he’s doing! 🫠🥵💦

A lot went down in this. I must say the crazy ex turned out to be actually crazy and still don’t get why all of the sudden he did a 180. There’s also the part where he said he couldn’t leave her alone which made me think someone was putting pressure on him or something. It felt weird to me. Also Why the connection between him and the woman? I feel like there’s something missing or I’m just making things up 😅

Tatum had a scumbag for a boyfriend and why am I not surprised? I hope we get to see him be taken down by Romero. I feel the chemistry between him and it’s sizzling! I want Tatum & Romero to happen asap!
I loved that father/ daughter moment Callum & Tatum shared, it was beautiful and heavy.
The last couple chapters left me anxious. That what happens when you see there’s like 5% left and there’s no hea in sight and stuff was going down.
Amanda showing up wasn’t on my cards and what a dramatic entrance.
I don’t exactly get why she thought him not telling her she didn’t signed the papers was the last drop to Bianca. I mean really? After everything and you think that the thing that makes you see things clearly? She knows he doesn’t want anything to do with her and treats her as an ex for a reason, just saying… I can’t wait to see her being put in her place by Bianca. I’m really putting my faith in her here because the way this book ended doesn’t give me much hope but who else better to do it than her?
The last bomb that was drop at Bianca’s feet I wasn’t expecting. Like I knew something was there but that? Never crossed my mind and now Callum has stacks and stacks of problems against him. I truly wonder how Bianca is gonna take all this and forgive him and how Callum is gonna solve it. I doubt being his real self will change things. He either goes rogue and takes her and F consequences or he goes soft and grovels. There’s a lot up in the air but I can’t wait to see how all unravels in the next one.
