I wasn't prepared for the sheer stupidity of this book and that's my fault. You wake up somebody else and just roll wit it? Forget your girlfriend? Your own interests? Everything that makes you YOU? Mmkay. Not enough cheek clapping in this one either I read this author for smut and there was enough.

Romantic & Heartbreaking

I’ve enjoyed all of this author’s books so far and this one is no exception. The banter between the two main characters is funny, the storyline moves - none of it feels stagnant. The spice is light - this is more of a mystery romance. Several times throughout the book I felt my heart hurt for the main character but the ending is 100% worth the read.

Już dawno żadna książka nie wzbudziła we mnie tak mieszanych uczyć. Dlaczego? Bo jednocześnie bardzo mi się podobała, a w tym samym czasie jestem strasznie zirytowana i zawiedziona.
Megan przyjeżdża do Seaside, by spełnić marzenie swojego nieżyjącego męża. Po zakupie pensjonatu dociera do niej, że czeka ją sporo pracy, począwszy od niemal generalnego remontu. Agentka poleca jej Theo Valentine, jednak Megan nie chce skorzystać z usług mężczyzny, który patrzy na nią, jakby chciał jej coś zrobić.
Theo nie mówi po wypadku, który odmienił jego życie. Jest mrukliwy, ponury i wyobcowany, ale mimo to, coś ciągnie go do Megan.
Czy drogi Theo i Megan będą wiecznie się krzyżować? Tak.
Czy powoli, powolutku ich relacja będzie się zmieniać? No tak.
I tu pomyślicie, że to oklepane i że już to dobrze znacie, ale powiem Wam, że wcale tak nie jest.
Z każdą stroną staniecie się podejrzliwi i będzie się zastanawiać, czy to wszystko, aby na pewno jest takie, jakim to widzimy.
I żeby nie spoilerować, tutaj przerwę. I pewnie zastanawiacie się, dlaczego mimo tego, że książka mi się podobała, jestem zawiedziona i zirytowana? Otóż w moim odczuciu pewne rzeczy zostały przedstawione w niezbyt precyzyjny sposób i przez to czuję się w jakiś sposób oszukana. Dlaczego? Wydaje mi się, że zrozumiecie mnie, jak przeczytacie tę pozycję. Ciężko jest to wytłumaczyć, bez spoilerowania, ale nie chcę nikomu psuć radości z czytania, także z takim chaotycznym zakończeniem, muszę Was tutaj zostawić.
