Sweet lord. This book. I have always believed in what I consider "magic" since I was a little girl. I cannot count the number of times that I "knew" people or places even though I'd never met them or been there before. I spent more time with therapists and "happy pills" than I could count. Until I finally just accepted it. This book felt like it was written just for me. It gave my magic loving heart something to hold on to.
From the first sentence to the last I was hooked. I don't know why I hadn't found this book before now. This connection, these characters, and this story was poignant and beautiful. It gave me hope. This is why I love to read.
I'm glad that the author changed their mind about Theo. I would have been devastated otherwise. The only reason it didn't get five stars was because I wanted the ending fleshed out a little more explaining their connection. To have the characters talk. To find out why the impossible happened especially with the surprise that shouldn't have happened.
Regardless, this is still an amazing book. Loved the snark, the humor, and all the emotions. More importantly, I loved that the author talked about the possibility that maybe there really is more than just one lifetime.

Oh wow, what a story. Just like Pen Pal and Perfect Strangers, I absolutely loved this book. J.T.’s writing gives me life. This was such a good book to follow the other two as they were intense roller coasters of emotions, this one is calmer and less intense but still amazing in its own right. The character and plot development was delicious, I felt like I could picture everything and everyone in this book. I’d LOVE it if all of J.T.s books were turned into movies, I’d watch them repeatedly. I highly recommend this book and all her other work as well.

i’m beginning to think that i can consistently rely on j.t. geissinger to deliver amazing reads, and i love that for me! midnight valentine is a book that will take you on a journey. i was hooked from the very beginning, and i was questioning everything the whole time i was reading. the only thing that could’ve made it better for me was if the ending had a tiny bit more explanation. i will say that this is not your typical romance, and it’s one that you should go into blind, but i promise that the angst and passion you will witness in this book is worth it. thank you for another beautiful story, ms. geissinger!

How does JT Geissinger keep shocking me with plot twists?? AND make me fall in love with the two main characters??? EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
I seriously enjoyed this book, only had a couple qualms and the main one was that the FMC annoyed me a little bit, but that was easy to overlook. She was just very “I’m not like other girls” to me. Other than that, it was fantastic.
Now watch me as I add JT Geissinger’s entire backlist to my TBR. No ragerts.
