I don’t even have words for this book. There is a movie, I Origins, that is all about this topic, and it completely changed my life and how I view death and the world and religion etc. when I realized where this book was going, I cried. And then I cried a lot more at the story itself and by the end I was a blubbering idiot and my husband was wondering why I was gasping out cuss words on the couch. This was so good, but I think it was really really good for me because of how it made me feel because of the things I think are real. I LOVED it. The authors acknowledgements page just made me love the book and them even more.

This was an incredible read. I have my suspicions on the inspiration of this but if I’m right, very well done. It would totally give away the twist so I won’t say it. I will say that I completely loved this take. If i wasn’t reading this on the go like i have been and had the chance to sit with it, I would’ve balled my eyes out numerous times. I love a good heartbreaking book. I think that makes me a masochist? But it’s fine….it’s not the creepy, fucked up kind of masochism. Anyhoo, great read. The pace was fluid and the foreshadowing was *chef’s kiss*. I knew what the big twist was gonna be but I didn’t know how it was gonna play out. I loved the blasé attitude of the main characters. The sarcasm was on point. Usually it doesn’t come across well but it did here. Overall, incredible concept and excellent execution.
