A bit difficult to follow due to the jumping perspectives. Still enjoyable overall, but not a page turner for me. I enjoyed the sequel more; maybe due to more familiarity with the characters, and thus being able to follow the plot more easily.

i’m so shocked i read this in three days but i was hooked! this is definitely a slow burn with a lot of world building and lots of inner monologues which i didn’t mind much because the writing was so beautiful and magical!

AAAAAAA LO AME, la trama, la dinámica, las relaciones, EL ROMANCEEE y cómo me vas a meter ese último plot twist
adventurous challenging tense slow-paced

this book wasn't for me. it started very slowly and had a large activation energy for me to get into. and once it actually got going, the plot was only mildly interesting to me.

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars for this book. It had an extremely slow start for the first third of the book and every time I picked it up I felt like leaving it as a DNF. After around a third though, the story picked up a bit and the rest of it was quite good.
