Definitely not as good as I am number four is. Very slow getting to the good stuff but even in the same world, the world has changed and there are new characters to be introduced.
I was really hoping to see more of john/4 but at least there was a little bit of 9.
Hopefully book 2 will be better.

If I knew this was a sequel to the book I Am Number Four I wouldn't have read it. Fortunately, I did and enjoyed this for the tropeful trill ride that it is.

Will read the sequel but not get any nearer to the original series.

Underwhelming in every possible way compared to the previous serie. The first introductory chapters felt incredibly stiff and impersonal, like the characters were listing off events and information. With the exception of Ran and Taylor they all fell flat and only started taking shape and a life of their own toward the end of the book. Perhaps starting in medias res would've helped the plot from dragging so much.

I loved the I am Number Four series, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. I was surprised to find very little mention of previous Garde, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. This focuses on the new Earth Garde and the new struggles facing them since the downfall of the Mogs.

I absolutely loved it! It made me enjoy this universe again. After the initial series seemed to drag on an extra book and a half, this one was beautiful.

It follows a group of new Garde that were introduced in Lorien Legacies, and how they're trying to manage the new world. However, as it is a Lorien book, it is not without action or a smidge of romance. I happened to have the special Barnes & Noble edition with an bonus chapter, and it felt like a perfectly natural tie-in. I went in knowing nothing, and I was not disappointed.

I would highly recommend this book, even if you felt tired of the world after United As One. It will make you fall in love with the world and the characters again.

I started reading Generation one after having reread all of the Lorien Legacies series. Needless to say, I think I overdid it and ended up having to pause the book at about halfway for about six months.

I enjoyed Generation One, and I loved that it was a straight 'carry on' from the original series. I did find the characters a little tedious at first, but then I love Lorien Legacies and the characters within, so it was hard to read new characters. By the time I had reached to end of the book, I was invested in their story.
