This was cute. Not spectacular or anything, but it was a good summer read and pretty enjoyable. For the most part. I was kind bored for the first like third of it maybe, but then either I started paying more attention or it just picked up. Either way, it was a pretty good story. And the narrator is kinda relatable tbh.

The romance was cute too. Although it took them forever to like kiss because they were hardly ever alone. But it was nice. Also the friendships and the sisterhood in this was good too. Books with good sister relationships makes me want a sister. 3 stars, cute summer read

Just a really good book.
It has flavors of Dirty Dancing (family stays at a camp resort for the summer) with a musical edge and a reminder that there are teenagers out there who have adult responsibilities.
It's about fear and growing, friendships and family that must evolve as we grow from kids they're used to to teens who are changing to young adults.
Possibly my favorite of West's books so far.

3.5/5

i read this cause i saw it at barnes and noble and actually thought it was a different book haha but nonetheless i enjoyed it. the more i read of this book the better it got but it took until the last 1/3 for me to actually care about the characters. overall, it was a fun quick read. the writing style felt like it was for younger teens (like 14-15) even though the mcs are 17 and 18.

Thank you to NetGalley for a free eArc in exchange for a honest review.

I’m finding that my interests are now branching out from YA romance, but I tried to make sure to review based on more than just my enjoyment.
This was a cute, fluffy romance, but was not the best of her books. The characters were somewhat shallow and the chemistry was just ok. I loved the Dirty Dancing vibes, but I wish it focused more lake related things. The plot was fast paced, but again- didn’t love it. I wish I could say I enjoyed it more, but I definitely recommend it for YA romance lovers who are looking for a quick, simple, and fluffy romance.
