Cute Dirty Dancing, summer, at a lodge employee and guest vibes.
I loved how Avery was portrayed. Sure, she was a people pleaser and a peacemaker but she wasn’t shy, only when it came to her own and others’ feelings. And the bond between her and her sister felt real, from the bickering to the genuine love and support. But mostly, I loved the bonds and friendships that were made, how the summer was spent trying to find herself and her own passions, rather than just simply focusing on her life back home (even though if she did it would be totally justified because yikes).
However, the romance that was built was sweet and pure and made me want to go to a fucking resort to find myself a lover because damn. They had their ups and downs from the meet not so cute to the confusion to the brooding and others. But what I loved most was that despite the fact that there were ample opportunities for the miscommunication trope, there wasn’t, because sure there were misunderstandings but they figured things out and it didn’t drag throughout the book which I admired and made me love it even more.
Honestly, for those who absolutely love dirty dancing and even those who don’t or haven’t watched it, this is the perfect summer romance, camp and beach read.

I always know what to expect with a Kasie West book and she always delivers. Sometimes this girl just needs a sweet, light, predictable love story (with a side of teenage angst thrown in) as an escape from this messy world.
This book made me smile and reminded me about what truly matters in life - relationships of all kinds, forgiveness, and love.

It was very teen-y and cute :)
Minor: Chronic illness, Vomit
This was so cute and fun!
I thought this was well written and as my first Kasie West book I completely understand the hype. I loved reading such a quick read and I felt all of my struggles fly away and I adored the characters and the story itself. Very soft romance and I can definitely see myself rereading this.

I’m just so happy after reading this. Kasie West is definitely my comfort author. No matter what her books will always put a smile on my face. Her books are always so swoony, short, and loveable. Avery and Brooks were just so cute. Lauren was also the perfect sister. If you want a fun summer read this is the one. Warning it will make you want to go to camp!
(3.5 stars) It kinda felt like the love interests were 13 instead of 18 and it took me half the book to get into it but i still overall enjoyed the book. Light and fluffy for summer!
