This book kind of started off on the wrong foot for me as I just... did not get why Avery was so fussed about Brooks. Okay, yeah, InstaLove and all that, but come on dude - you've met him once, briefly. Why are you so obsessed about what he thinks of you?! Similarly, I was quite frustrated that so much of the plot was focused on Avery et al determinedly breaking the very few rules they were set, and how unrealistic that got. That being said, however, I did warm up to the book over the course of it, particularly with the unfolding of the relationship between Avery and her sister, which was really nice! Again, though, it felt a bit let-down towards the end,
Spoiler when Avery's stage-fright was just magically cured!

A cute, quick summer YA read. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either. Avery's character development was a redeeming quality, but like many YA novels the story felt very simple and leaves a bit to be desired.
