I was really excited for this but I really wasn’t vibing with it and it ended up being just meh!

this book was so cute! a very feel good, easy read, closed door little high school romance. i thought the romance was done well, that was basically the only plot going on for most of the story, which usually i don’t love but honestly didn’t mind it that much. Avery and Brooks were both so cute, i really enjoyed their characters and i like the bit of Brooks life we heard about, i thought it helped add another layer to the story. also lovedd the setting of summer vacation/camp
lauren and avery’s relationship was one of my favorite parts of the book. i loves the sister relationship and the growth we saw within both of them, both internal growth and growth within their relationship.
i honestly kinda saw myself in Avery, in the way she never wanted to disappoint people and feeling like your future is already set and you don’t really know where you fit in. i thought her views and personality made the book very relatable.
overall super cute summer time read, i’m not obsessed with the book but i would recommend!

Kasie West is the best at endearing YA love stories. If you haven’t picked up her books, do yourself a favor and start today!
I dont think this was my favorite book of hers by far. But i really felt connected to the main character and felt her shyness and also her fear of trying new things. I also really liked this book def shook up the main character life by taking her outside of her world. I also really enjoyed that this book focused on self discovery but also a really strong sister dynamics. I grew to love the romance. It was fun listen and like the music elements that become the focus of the read!!

I greatly appreciated how anxiety was portrayed throughout this book, even if it was dramatized at times. I remember feeling very similar to Avery when I was 18 and I think it’s important for younger readers to be able to put a name to what they’re feeling.

so soft just what the doctor ordered. I love Kasie West's book, I started getting into romcoms with her books and I loved it.

Super cute summer-time read with 100% Dirty Dancing vibes. I really enjoyed the side and family characters as well, would have liked a little bit more inner reflection of Avery on herself. I have read everything by Kasie and this is definitely in the top!
