I had a craving for a cute, summery, YA romance and decided to pick this up since the Dirty Dancing similarities appealed to me. This was exactly what I was looking for. It was a quick story with a fun setting and likable characters. The romance part was kind of just... there. I know I'm not the target audience for this book, but really nothing about Brooks appealed to me. I enjoyed Lauren and Avery connecting as sister and Avery finding new friends more than anything involving Brooks.
Not my favorite of West's, but it was ok.

I thought a lot of characters were let off the hook way too easily. I wanted to see more consequences for the way they treated Avery. I'm talking about Shay mostly, but also the boys in the band. It seemed to easy.

Cutest book ever! The characters are loveable and the plot is so amazing. I seriously love this so much it’s in my top 3 favorite romance books ever!!!! Definitely recommend!!!
