I feel like the story was hampered by not making anyone too bad a character, which not only made the conflict not threatening but the resolution of the book too easy. Lack of real conflict watered down the strength of the young female main character. The love was told not shown and I did not connect with the characters enough to worry about them when the story was supposed to become tense.

This was good, don't know much about Mayan culture or myths. Found this to be extremely interesting.

Started as a nice story, but then it got easily boring. The love story was not needed imo, the ending is more poignant than the whole book before.

Me faltó, me quedó a deber más mitología, trasfondo, y sentí a los personajes medio acartonados. Creo que daba para mucho más, me encantó la premisa y me gustaría leer más de la mitología maya.
