I think that this may be my favourite Bridgerton book I’ve read so far.
It’s messy and it’s complicated but not just in the particulars of courting for the time period but in how real the situations can be. Facing illness and grief issues are deeper than the other books have gone and moving through the grief of losing John for both Francesca and Michael I believe is what makes this book the best so far.
The respect they give both to each other and their feelings and to John shows how caring the characters are.

I enjoyed this one, but couldn't LOVE it. I think I was just not 100% into it because they were cousins?? it was spicy, and I did enjoy their love story.

i have a feeling benedict when ive read his book will be 4th instead or hyacinths love interest when i read her book. i have a feeling collin will be my least fave bridgerton mmc despite loving him in the show
omg MICHAEL LITERALLY IS SO OMG. this is a he falls first - / unrequited love.
This man literally Defends her like he should . Two men were talking about her virginity status ( she isnt one) because she was married to michaels cousin ( but his cousin died ) - so she is getting remarried 4 years later . They were shit talking her and he literally screamed at them saying dont you dare talk badly about Francesca
omg the way he has loved her for 6 years made me swoon
- their first kiss scene though omg!!!
- this is kinda a reformed rake romance but tbh i dont know if he was a real rake tbh!!
- kinda friends to lovers
- the fact francesca wants to get remarried because she wants kids ( AND HE IS LIKE I WILL GIVE YOU CHILDREN OR AT LEAST Try)

im sad anthony doesnt really make much of an appearance in this book .

2. penelope - romancing mr bridgerton

4. kate - the viscount who loved me ( i dont dislike her i still love kate
- i also love hyacinth and sophie - i just havent read their books yet . and i havent read gregorys so i cant rank his love interest book yet. i wont read daphnes book.
Colin in this book is actually enjoyable tbh i like him every book but his own - he literally is like GO MARRY HER ( talking about francesca) i still dont know if he is aware of MICHAEL BEING IN LOVE WITH FRANCESCA

This whole book is just loved it . it made me swoon multiple times
the epilogue made me wanna cry. johns mother writing to michael to say thank you for letting john love francesca first and saying that Michael and francesca were meant for each other . why is that both so sweet and sad
