I enjoyed the characters and the relationship with family but I found this book very slow and also that not a lot was going on.

The only reason this loses half a star for me is that the main character seems to have a really problematic relationship with alcohol which is constantly laughed off. Almost all of the scenes between the romantic leads involve alcohol, including some where they clearly drive while very intoxicated.
