1. Really weird but imaginative story. The authors turn every conventional perspective on its head as it follows two female characters. One is an ageless pawn shop owner who was given the note "King City" and can't get rid of it. The second is a mother with a shape-shifting son. Her husband abandoned her, and she tries to understand where he went and why he left. Both paths ultimately lead to King City - a strange city where her husband has many clones.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I expected to. The narrative was very disjointed and at times I felt I had skipped parts of the story. I think the bits that worked best are the ones which reflect the podcast. Such as the news reports, the voice of Night Vale and the traffic report. The character parts felt stilted and uninteresting.
