Just like the podcast, but a book.
The ending was too a little too quick and easy, and I found it insufficient and unsatisfying.

I've been a fan of the Nightvale podcast sincerely around 2103, and I've finally managed to get myself a copy of this book. I was not disappointed; this novel was as delightfully bizzare as the podcast. I absolutely read Cecil's parts with his deep and soothing voice in mind.
The story itself was really fun. I liked the many calls back to the podcast like the ovisible corn. And John Peters, you know the farmer! Loved seeing Josie in this book and it was great to finally have the mystery of the man in the tan jacket solved.

Form over function.
But what an oddly satisfying form it is.
So surreal. So weird. So funny.

Welcome to Night Vale is one of my favorite podcasts, and I've recommended it to many people.
For me, I think the story is better as a podcast. I wasn't turned off because of how weird it was - it is Night Vale after all. I was turned off because I was just bored. I liked the weirdness, I liked the style, but it felt like a chore to finish it.
Finish it I did, however I think I may just stick with the podcast.

I don't normally like audio books but I highly recommend reading this with the audio book.
Amazing, fantastic, spectacular, beautiful, strange from start to finish. Everything I had hoped it would be.
