Tommy and Tuppence are such lovely characters! This short story is fun and more comical than surprising unlike what one expects from Christie, but a worthwhile read/listen to.

Tommy and Tuppence Beresford are awaiting a letter from Russia, that they have told may contain some information of international importance, hidden away under the stamp. However, when the letter arrives it seems that more than one party is awaiting it, and it is up to Tommy and Tuppence to make sure it doesn’t get into the wrong hands.

This is a short story that is now available as a stand alone short story, and readers can also find it in the anthology called “Partners in Crime”. First published in 1924 it demonstrates how well Agatha Christie wrote about international mystery and intrigue. She manages to write a international mystery plot just as brilliantly as she writes a murder mystery in a sleepy english village.

At just 30 minutes this audio was short and sweet. Within those 30 minutes Agatha Christie has set up the scene and takes the reader on a interesting journey, as Tommy and Tuppence try and keep the letter from getting into the wrong hands.

As with most of the short stories there is no murder involved, but it is a good mystery. I haven’t read too many Tommy and Tuppence mysteries, but they are such a likable duo and I’m looking forward to reading more of their short stories.

Squeaking a last book in. Just made my book challenge with this Agatha Christie. A short book but a very enjoyable Tommy and Tuppence adventure.

This was a nice quick read. Tommy and Tuppence were witty and quick with each other which is something I enjoyed immensely! I found myself chuckling a few times during their quick banter. This was the first time I had read anything with this duo and after reading this, I look forward to reading more.

This is a short Tommy and Tuppence story. Tommy and Tuppence have received a strange letter on blue paper. Not long afterwards, they are hired by someone to investigate a burglary at their house. An investigator shows up, claiming that this is a ruse, and they have been chasing this person. He lures people away from their homes or offices so that they can be ransacked.

Together, Tommy and the investigator plan to watch the offices to see what happens. However, all does not turn out as planned.
