It feels like a true continuation of the series.

Read it after I finished The Legend of Korra series. Now I understand why Kuvira's such a crucial character in this book.

this one didn’t feel as high stakes and was kind of like a filler for part 3 as not much happens.

I think I really have to read these back to back--it's been so long since I read the first one that I no longer remembered the series-specific characters. And honestly, I'm reading these just for Korrasami.

At first, the brainwashing plot didn't sit well with me. It seemed very cliché and out-of-the-blue. But the more I think about it, the more in-line it is with season two of the original series, and I appreciate that callback. Overall, I like this comic a lot!
