Great young adult read with adventures, friendships, laughs, and mythology!

At some point I realised that after I finished every Rick Riordan book I couldn't remember the details to how we got to where we were but I do remember that I had an absolute blast getting there. That, and Riordan's increasingly diverse and nuanced characters always make me yearn for more.

do I even have to point out how good it was? honestly, I'll never get tired of Rick's books.

Alex Fierro was in this book! I cared about NOTHING else! I fixated so hard on this one character, it did not matter to me what else happened. Five stars just for Alex <3

A really great trilogy for anyone who loved the Percy Jackson series and who likes Norse mythology. Magnus Chase, 16yr old homeless orphan finds his family searching for him only to end up a permanent resident of Hotel Valhalla where his new friends help him on a set of adventures to stop Ragnarok, the end of the world.

Reasons I Recommend:
1) Its a fun and easy read full of Norse mythology, Viking stories and adventure as the son of a Norse god finds his role in the modern world
2) It ties into the Percy Jackson universe - all pagan gods exist and some are part of the same family; the Chase family has both Greek and Norse gods
And 3) A great trilogy about friendship, adventure and most importantly about what it means to do the right thing, to be a hero.

4/5 - I personally did not find this to be that exciting to read and I almost didn’t finish it

There is nothing really wrong about this book besides how I just wasn’t into the plot and that’s not Rick’s fault but has more to do with me and my personal interests. I just didn’t get any angst from it when I should’ve. I stopped halfway through and read 3 other books before I picked this up again. As I was reading the las half, I seriously thought about not finishing the series but then I found out that PERCY JACKSON is gonna be making an appearance in the last book and that honestly made me so much more excited.
