HOT

Loved the pull of the beauty and the beast! Your heart just wants both of them to find love and happiness! And those spicy sex scenes

Lol this book was like a fever dream of not good. I’m not even mad it was just so dumb and ridiculous I’m laughing. I don’t have much to say it was just too much and so cheesy when it was trying to be so serious lol.

When Skye's father became ill she used up all her savings and options to pay for his treatment. However, when the cancer returned she didn't know where to turn. Gaining a loan from a loan shark who offered to let her pay it off by being his mistress for a month, but it's been over two months and it doesn't look like she'll be off the hook anytime soon.

Hiding away from the party Luca spots Skye as she wanders over to the greenhouse for a moment of solitude. Watching her crumble following a call about her father and cringing as Salvatore comes to bring her back to the party. Capturing his attention he looks to how to make her his. Striking a deal with Salvatore who is looking to get in with the Mafia Don. Whilst offering Skye all the help she needs for her father in exchange for 30 days with him.

A steamy modern-day twist on the beauty and the beast story with a mafia twist. Having been hurt in the past Luca is closed off to the world around him. Using women as playthings and nothing more. But there is something about Skye that feels different as he tests her throughout her stay with him. Are they able to find a way to be together? Or is this just an arrangement?

For the most part, I really enjoyed this book, but there weren’t enough scenes to show how Luca and Skye’s relationship developed.

At the beginning, I liked how clearly it was shown that it was just a business transaction. In most books with this kind of scenario, it says the same, but you always see that it isn’t a business transaction for the characters. However, I wanted to see more scenes showing Luca and Skye’s interactions showing their relationship changing because it felt like they ‘fell in love’ without really changing anything about their relationship or getting to know each other.

There wasn’t really a plot. Luca was portrayed as a dangerous man, but he never does anything to support that – it’s just the way others act around him. I suppose the plot is Skye being paid to sleep with Luca, but her family isn’t shown much, and Luca and Skye’s scenes always seemed clinical/emotionless so I couldn’t really believe their ‘love’.

Other than Skye’s family, Katie (Skye’s friend) and some of Luca’s staff are shown occasionally, but not enough.

My favourite scene/thing that happened in this book was Skye’s reaction to the FBI agents. I really want to see more books with similar reactions.

I might try other books by this author, but I really hope that those books have better relationship developments and more characters.

Ah yes! Loved it!

Oh my goodness! I've been waiting since Eden 1 for Shane's HEA! Snow is perfect for him! It's a lovely story woven with beautiful gypsy magic! I just want more & more!
I have become a serious Georgia Le Carre fan..

I don't know if I can say this book had potential or not, it was so ....pointless. Was she so pretty that he had to buy her? He told her that she was beautiful but just another pretty face so what was the reason? He could have bought any other girl that wasn't in a vulnerable place and had a sick dad in the hospital. But no, he said, "let me choose this one so I can treat her like an object because I'm so bored and this will help to pass the time".
