Not amazing nu not bad. I am not sure how I feel about these, even after 3. They are quick and keep me entertained but I don't find them special. However I am invested now and will continue to read.

My favorite quote so far is in this book...series, "Mrs. Palmer replaced our previous teacher, Mr. Tweeds, who fell and broke his hip, which is what all old people do sooner or later because their skeletons are as brittle and cracky as pretzel rods. He's like 48 or something." Page 34.

My 10 year old loves the books, but reading them with her has me cringing the whole time. Full of a lot of unhealthy stereotypes, fat phobia, and just not great things.
