I can’t help it - I’m a sucker for Lara & Aren. I love there was a little ‘follow up’ to them, and it’s such a cute little snip it of recovering from post war.

This is a novella following Aren & Lara right after the events that happened in "The Traitor Queen" but before "The Endless War." It is to be read after "The Inadequate Heir." Although it is only six chapters long, it moves forward nicely, creating space filled with passion, politics & powerful women. With the short length &🌶🌶🌶 I give it 4🌟
I liked catching up with Aren and Lara. They’re my fave, and this was a very smutty little novella!!

This was such a fun short story. It was great to be back with Aren and Lara, as well as some more of the original characters from the first two books. You can understand where all three books meet up, and seeing their points of view for what's next is exciting. There was also a ton of spice in this little novella, and let's be real, I was so here for that. This made me laugh, too, and I can't wait to dive into book four.
