I really enjoyed this book! It started a little slowly but I found myself deeply engrossed and invested in what would happen the characters. It’s not a feel good but it feels solemn and genuine.

This is a wonderful novel about family, forgiveness, loss, mental health, and much more! We get to see the initial misunderstandings and differences in the family, as well as the events that led to Yitian's eventual estrangement from his father. The chapters to switch between the past and the present. I know some people aren't crazy about it but it really brings everything together! A great read!

it took a while to get into the groove of it, but once we start expanding on the diverged path of our MC and his struggles with returning to his homeland, how differently he views his world, it starts to pick up! theres a lot of elements revolving around the past & relationships, and how they have changed because of these monumental path divergences. it made me so sad at the end but it was very rewarding!

Not the most memorable book, but I do remember enjoying reading this one and getting some strong emotions from the plot. I do remember having positive emotions about this one, but really can't remember much at this point.
