This book hooked me- from the jump you’re trying to figure out what happened to 2 missing women and a missing child 11 years in the past. The story jumps perspectives between characters and timelines. While it’s very engrossing, I did often struggle to keep up with whose perspective we were in and what time in the story. I liked that the author gave us multiple potential suspects- and the ending was a big twist for sure. I struggled with the scenes with child abuse so be warned. If you’re looking for a good suspense this one checks the box for sure.

So… I’m going to say that this is still not my favorite genre, but I was definitely hooked. I needed to know what happened. I felt anxious for the characters because I knew things were bound not to end well, but I was determined to finish it.

Talk about a plot twist! I absolutely did not see this one coming. I was hooked from the beginning! There was a bit going on at first between the different POVs and jumping timelines, but once you get the hang of the switching, it’s easier to follow along.
There were multiple times I gasped and covered my mouth while reading this! The suspense and reveals were so well done! This was my first book by this author. If she always writes like this, than she’s got herself a new reader cause I will gladly keep reading her work!!
