Best book I've read in 2023. The writing is exquisite and the story grabbed me from the start. Family drama and generational genre at its best.
This is a story of redemption. I had a hard time getting into this book. Almost returned it without finishing it but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. A lot of unlikable characters at the beginning of the book. Not all characters were redeemed but I liked where things ended.
Solidly 5 stars - highly recommend. A poignant look at a damaged family crawling to the surface.

The second half is a wonderful, engaging book. Like some of Korelitz’s other books, I’m sorry it was such a slow beginning. The basic premise of triplets who want nothing to do with each other, seems extreme and implausible. I’m glad I persisted as I enjoyed the second half.

Unusual sibling relationships, to say the least, serve as a set up for political and social commentary. Clever and surprising.
