2.95...it started off soo good the plot and everything reminded me of wattpad in the best way possible. around 30% in I low-key started to get bored because the plot just had sm potentialand just remained untapped fr 1. they totally could have had serenity secretly painting the entire time for more drama. 2. the characters kept talking about feeling guilty being reluctant and their actions never showed it. they were basically at 90 b4 they were even started secretly going out. like yall wanted to fall in love fr bc the relationship was never gradual it was def not casual at all. not enough longing and pining. 3- Ezra had no personality. 4-(not really a critique but still) theo is a pussy but he said one nice thing

5- the charaters suffered a little from lack of personality and from telling instead of showing. they would always talk about tyla like she was amazing and still even though I've completed the bk I know NOTHING about her personality all. no memories nothing. I thought this would have made it sm better bc we could feel the guilt with them yk...bc I didn't really care.
lastly this had WAY TM SMUT they was fucking whenever they got 2 secs alone. idk it was giving lust. so if u don't like smut just know this bk has smut in every other chapter literally.
ALSO wtf archer u gave them both the same nickname. pls don't piss me off

I really enjoyed this book and liked the relationship between Serenity and Archer. There was some parts that I didn't like.
Although Ezra figured out there was something happening between them I wish there was more reaction from him.
Also, when Tyra came back why are you calling her baby and darling??? That broke my heart for Ser. Like you said you were over her and y'all broke up before she went missing so why the names? 🙄 Also, did she not have any other family? She HAD to stay with Acher? He just needed to stand on business and let her know about his new life instead of coddling her.

This brother’s best friend billionaire secret romance stars Serenity and Archer. Serenity is an artist at heart who is about to intern at her brother’s and Archer’s tech firm. She uses her art to express her emotions but wants to keep her mother happy so she does the art in secret. Things get more complicated when her guy best friend (who she’s always had feelings for) finally tells her he’s dating one of her friends and so she’s entering this new job (with her best friend) a bit heartbroken. In comes Archer to show her what real adoration and care are. The growing love story between Archer and Serenity is at the same time beautiful, sweet and filled with lots of tension and angst. I couldn’t put it down.
Unexpected complications and heartstring pulling twists made the story a pleasure to read, even without having read the author’s prior interconnected series about the Windsor family (they do come up in this book, but I was able to read without knowing their backstory, though I am sure it would have made the reading experience even richer). The book has plenty of spice, well written and tension filled as well since you’re always wondering if they are gonna get caught. I think this is a great fast paced romance that hits lots of well liked tropes expertly if you’re looking for something to add to your list!
