Story of new characters to Virgin River, Lily and Clay.

I was enjoying Clay and Lilly's story, until it got lost in all the other random events. I appreciate the author trying to introduce new characters, but so much of the later half of the book was boring and unrelated to the main storyline. Also, the conflict is a huge pet peeve of mine and was redundant of the last book.

I am a big fan of the series and have no plans to stop reading. Hopefully, the next installment is better. I'm sad Clay and Lilly didn't get the full attention they deserved.

This book wasn’t my favourite I was really looking forward to it but it fell short, we were just getting into Clay and Lili’s Romance and then I felt the author ruined it by turning the story around about the death of Hope McCree the local town resident, the introduction of Colin Riordin, and the four girls who came to town, which included Kelly giving detailed information about her food dishes with Preacher, and Denny coming to town, all of that part of the book was just boring. Just too much other stuff going on, I do normally love it when Robyn Carr mixes up her stories with past couples and introducing new characters but this book got lost in it.

When we finally got back to Clay and Lili I felt as if for me as I reader I just lost their connection and Lili acted spoilt.

I enjoyed Moonlight Road more, this hasn’t put me off the Virgin River series, I will be back, but taking a little break for now.

This one took me a little longer to get into but only because I’d taken a short vacation from virgin River. Once I got into it, of course I couldn’t stop!

DID NOT FINISH: 2%

Did not like the narrator.

Second re-read: Yup, Lily is still a twerp. Clay is very patient. Thank goodness for Dane.

Not one of my faves; a little too much self indulgence and self pity in the heroine. And the shift is sort of abrubt and disjointed for me.
