I really enjoyed the eerie, unsettling atmosphere that Stoker creates, and I can absolutely appreciate how groundbreaking this novel must have been in its time. That said, I didn’t find it as horrifying as I expected, the chills were there, but not the outright terror I’d been hoping for. The pacing also felt uneven: the build-up stretched for so long, yet the ending seemed oddly rushed in comparison. While there were moments I found a little slow or repetitive, the book’s gothic charm and its influence on horror literature are undeniable.

"I love this book!!" "Really? Then tell me what happened in the last one hundred pages." "... vampire circumcision?"
I have absolutely no idea what happened in this book, so do not ask me. There where vampires. There was romantic tension between Mina and the vampire woman who was named something with a J. There was a token American. There was... there were hot vampire ladies. Three of them. Do we count the british vampire? Is she british? Anyways, I liked this book a lot. It definitely wasn't perfect, but it was a fine read nonetheless.
If I had to say, I would have recommended less useless dialogue. Also, I think the moment I truly started skipping pages was when the awful accents came in. Seriously, I couldn't read that at all.

first part was the coolest & then it dragged on at the end i think
Enjoyed for the writing style, and the drama, but overall wasn't my favorite classic. Maybe the subject matter is just less interesting to me? Still a very good book.
