This is my first Irby book and I will be back for more! The only thing I disliked is a large essay in the book is dedicated to episode by episode reimaginings of Sex and the City which I have never seen so I had to trust through and/or skip. So funny, definitely a great palete cleanser.

Despite the content warnings, it's always a fun time with Samantha Irby (to me 😉)

I think I generally liked it more than her other books! (Which I also liked!) Fast and fun while still being grounded; my only complaint is that I listened to some parts while cooking and the scatological was sometimes too much and came out of nowhere.

This one didn't hit for me like i've enjoyed Sam Irby's other books! Some of the essays i enjoyed but there were some that i had to skip b/c they were so long and i just wasn't interested.

My favourite essays:
- The Last Normal Day
-My Firstborn Dog
-I like to get high at night and think of whales
-How to look cool in front of the teens?

In general the essays that are more memoir style worked a lot better for me than the ones that were lists and commentary on pop culture!

Thanks to Libro.fm for the ALC!
