Overall I feel meh about this book and I don't think it will stick with me. I think the author's writing style or perhaps the translation did not resonate with me—it was simple and often felt very flat, which isn't bad in and of itself but led to an unexciting reading experience. It wasn't bad... but I wasn't wowed, either.

i literally cannot name a single thing i liked about this book. i have never felt so detached from a story or its characters in my life. i was so excited to read this book because i’ve always thought about how nice it’d be to not have to feel emotions, and was looking forward to an exploration of that, but instead this book was literally just nothing but painfully awkward dialogue and miraculous plot points that happen out of nowhere. genuinely what the fuck even was the point of this???? all you need is love and everything will be magically fixed??? shut the fuck up!!!!!
