This Algonquin version of the classic Cinderella tale was originally a gift from one of our neighbors who used to babysit my brothers and me, but my daughter just rediscovered it for me when she found it on the bookshelves in her newly organized room. There are tiny details here and there that are a bit cringeworthy, but overall, this is a really charming story about how the proud and selfish will eventually get what they deserve and the kind and humble will eventually receive reward beyond compare.

A beautiful story that is a Native American spin on the Cinderella tale. The moral of the story being that beauty comes from within. A touching tale that I loved. Thoroughly recommend.

This was a very interesting book. I love books that have a true twist on classic stories. It reminded me of the story of Cinderella and it was laid out so well. The pictures were just BEAUTIFUL and full of life. the cover caught my eye when i saw it. I just knew i had to read it. the ending was just what i needed and i would TOTALLY recommend this books to anyone. Being an educator i think students would enjoy it especially doing like an activity to compare and contrast the differences and similarities
