In the beginning I kind of hated it but then I spent the rest of the book bawling my eyes out sooo

I love this violent, dark and very queer take on Peter Pan and the themes it dealt with.

I finished this and immediately thought "oh my god I'm such a hopeless romantic" and I LOVE when books make me feel like that
I kinda wish it was Ernest, not Hook, though. Sad we couldn't get to know him more
Also was Peter Pan even real or was it Peter Darling's mind all along?????

Y'KNOW WHAT, I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK!

At first I was kind of like "okay what's... happening here" but I had a really fun time reading -- pretty much finished it in the space of like, an hour. The trans narrative was done with such care (THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LET TRANS PEOPLE WRITE THEIR OWN STORIES, WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT!!!) and the romance was lovely.

Also, I LOVED the way Neverland was conceptualized here (especially the fairies, omg) and DUH I was instantly fond of Hook. SO FUN, SUCH A GOOD WAY TO SPEND AN EARLY EVENING, DO RECOMMEND.
