2025 reread:
4.5 stars. I mean, it's still part of one of my favorite trilogies, but this continues to be my least favorite of the set. Not sure if it's the process of Katniss trying to come to terms with... everything, or just the way the consequences start amping up without having gotten to any of the resolution of the third book yet.
So good. So rough.
2020 reread:
Continuing my re-read of the trilogy! In some ways I don't like this *quite* as well as the first book (4.5 stars instead of 5, maybe), but I am still impressed with her ability to continue so many elements of the first book without feeling repetitive.
