A different style of LitRPG entry. Dan and Croc and a fun MC and partner duo. Dan comes in as he is and nothing really happens to change his values or show emotional or character growth per se. He is a solid fun noble protagonist stuck in a world of shit(on one floor literally) and just trying to find a way to survive. The sidekick Croc provides lots of humor and definitely helps improve the story. Now that Dan has established his store, found a few allies, and done some exploring, I am looking forward to seeing where the next book takes him. I will say, this book has a lot of elements that make it closer to DCC than any other LitRPG series out there I have read.

If you're a fan of LitRPG/Progression RPG this is a really good book! I'm excited to see what Dan and Croc get into moving forward. If you're a fan of DCC you're probably gonna enjoy this series also. It has a lot of fun pop-culture references that give it a nostalgic feel and make you excited to see what else will be referenced in the future
