These amazing characters, you'll fall in love with. A wonderfully painted time period that will make you wish you were exploring right beside Anna and Ben, as well as their friends. I am so in love with this whole series and this book. This book explores Anna as she finds out she is pregnant and throughout her pregnancy, her struggles with the timing and having to be still for a portion of her pregnancy. It also follows Elizabeth and explores what it is like to have fears and anxieties as a woman in the nineteenth century.

Although this book is written as historical fiction, in the nineteenth century, there are so many prominent issues that women face today that are written into this book. The whole series is wonderful and I love the adventurous spirit that we see in Anna and the courage she shows throughout the series.

This is a book that you need to read, it will make you want to face those fears your holding onto. So grab your hiking boots, lace them up, tie them tight, and prepare for the adventure that awaits you in the Mt. Rainer series by Jamie McGillen.
