Exciting and improbable escapist thriller about a gang of misfits who investigate government conspiracies. Here The Camel Club uncovers a post- 9-11 plot by elements within the U.S. intelligence to recruit middle eastern terrorists to enact their secret agenda. The characters aren't very believable, but they're quirky and interesting. The tension and escalating plot really do keep you reading to the last of the 700-odd pages. This is probably the second thriller I've ever read. It was fun, if a little hyperbolic.

It took entirely too long for this plot to get even remotely in. I do not feel compelled to read any of the other book in this series.

Thriller and page-turner. Introduction to a group of characters who reappear in later thrillers, so good background.

Hard to stay invested and downright dumb in places, but I want to know Oliver Stone and the end is worth it.

Great. I love that this book took place in the DC metro area - I knew all the streets, buildings, restaurants, etc.
