gorgeous gorgeous book with gorgeous gorgeous cover with gorgeous gorgeous bowie references with gorgeous gorgeous historical events :<

this is totally a must-read and a very important read as well to bring light to the early 70s where being gay is considered as an illness and how av*rs*on therapy affected the lives of other people. most of them were forced to believe that they were not okay, that they were not normal. as a part of the community itself, i found this quite an eye-opener although it's more of like a fictionalized way to tell history, but the relevance of it is very strong in this book.

i love how the author also discussed the important historical events that happened to Native Americans and the importance of the Two-Spirit. this made me wanna learn more about the stuff mentioned in this book.

this is a very powerful book and i really love it. i cried, i laughed, i suffered with the main characters, and i felt seen.

Loved loved loved this book. So sad that a book set in the 70’s about homophobia/racism is still so relevant now in 2022. It’s wrong that things haven’t enough. Web and Jonathan are so lovely and I finished their story in one sitting. I really liked the completely off the wall and zany narrative from Jonathan and his support network (especially Ziggy!) wish there was more!

Really didn't love that (one of) the villain(s) was bi - and the only one who really faced consequences for his horrific actions at that.

Did enjoy the meditation on queerness and sexuality.

This book is rough going on so many levels but it’s also really important and beautiful.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked how the characters were like Remus and Sirius and I loved the plot line. I also enjoyed how diverse the characters were and I though it had a really nice ending. Overall it was a very good book about the LGBTQ+ community.
