I feel like I just spent a year with these characters. I want to spend another.
Never thought I’d commit to 600 pages of dysfunctional family drama but the Casey family were so lost, so loveable (for the most part), so readable, and the Irish charm shone through every page. I did not agree with all their choices and one in particular left a bad taste in my mouth, but they were each flawed in a way that made them more the easier to invest in.
Catch me binge reading Marian Keyes entire oeuvre.

I find that I only got really into this story after 300 pages. Nevertheless, it's still interesting to see all the complex 'problems' of a 'normal' family. It's very real; you agree, disagree and side with the characters; it deals with different mental health issues and grief; and when the events start to unload it is really amusing.

Brilliantly written, this novel set in Ireland was grand. I really engaged with the characters, and enjoyed following their individual stories - wide range of characters, some you love and some you hate. Really recommend this book!

Love Marian Keyes, funny and warm and can’t put her down. Completely understand why she’s talking about direct provision but it did feel a bit shoehorned in

Really entertaining read, with a lot of family drama. Trigger warning for eating disorders.
Graphic: Eating disorder
