Where do I even begin with this? First of all, I cannot believe this is Ashley Lane's first book because it is that good! I read a lot of MC romances, and I mean A LOT of them, and this book rose higher and higher on my favorites list with each chapter I read. Okay, about the story...this is the story of Priest and Willow. Priest is the leader of a band of bikers who are out to set things right in the world. Willow, 16 years younger, is the broken girl running from the worst set of circumstances ever handed to one single person. There's an instant connection between the two that neither one of them can explain but one that will hit readers' hearts hard. As the story progresses, we learn more and more about the tragic pasts of both Priest and Willow and there is just enough insinuation to make you wonder if and/or how their pasts might be intertwined. Honestly, the "what if" kept my emotions in a constant turmoil while reading this book...and then we come to the last few chapters. Warning - keep tissues nearby! You will fall in absolute love with ALL of the characters in this book. The author has given these guys such personality and their backstories are so tragic that she really set up the possibility for a FANTASTIC ongoing series. And the story flowed so well that she was able to offer up so much detail and story without weighing down the plot or making it drag at all. Like I said, I can't believe this is Ashley Lane's first book, but it better not be her last because she has left me wanting so much more of Priest and Willow and the rest of Heaven's Guardians! Five stars all across the board!!
I didn’t like the idea that he was getting it on with his daughter. And even if they aren‘t related, still made me uncomfortable

This is unlike any Biker romance I have ever read and I have read a lot. Washed in Blood was a unique read for me in relation to the club, how to start and the characters.
What makes this book unique was that the characters had faith and expressed it deeply throughout the book. The club was created on the basis of the president Priest being saved by an angel and he goes and saves other souls and destroys others (This is not PNR). Both Priest and Willow prayed during this book and based a lot of outcomes on the will of God.
This was a different read for me and it was enjoyable. I like that it was faith based and I found it gave the characters depth and character. This was a great refreshing biker romance. Not only that, but the workings of the club was different as they only had the core members, no prospects, no club parties, basically no outsiders which was extremely different for me but again refreshing.
Now let’s get into the plot. The plot of this book is fast-paced, there are a few time-jumps which makes the time-line go faster so you don’t get to see the in-depth workings of a relationship, which I did not mind. I liked that it was insta love and the characters ended up together fast. Now don’t get me wrong, while this book is fast paced there are well planned out dialogues and conflict. The conflict in this book had me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next.
Ashley Lane just found herself a new fan and I cannot wait to read the rest of this series. If you are looking for a unique biker romance then I definitely recommend Washed in Blood.
