A True mates slow burn.
Lane and Jared certainly had the sparks flying from their very first meeting. Connection and chemistry added extra layers to their slow burn bond and when they finally stop being stubborn the heat level hits high.
I really liked these 2 main characters, especially how Lane didn’t back down to Alpha Jared and was prepared to meet him head on over important issues. Namely Jared’s adorable son Conall. There is also some interesting, intriguing side characters that add to the plot.
This is well written with the mystery and suspense moving at a good pace and the world building is done very well. Jared and Lane do get their HEA after minimal angst and jumping a few hurdles. I was left with the hope of more in the series as there were a couple of areas in the story I’d love to see expanded.
